If you need a fun new recipe for a Cake Walk, Dessert Auction, or Christmas Party, this "Barrel of M&Ms Cake" is sure to please! Start with a round cake from a cake mix. I use a chocolate cake mix and make an 8" round layered cake with chocolate icing between the layers. Spread icing all over the top and sides of the cake as well. Stick Kit-Kat bars vertically to the icing to make the sides of the barrel. An 8" cake takes 10 4-section Kit-Kat bars to go around it. They should stick up a little higher than the cake. Spread red and green M&Ms on top of the cake and tie a Christmas bow around the cake to hold it all together!
